Introduction: 1 in 4 children are sexually abused before they reach the age of 16. Some in the home, some are groomed and exploited, some trafficked and put into prostitution. Sexual abuse too often destroys the lives of its victims. Some people know this, but it is too painful an issue for them to deal with. Others feel useless and helpless to do anything. Those that know the facts can only respond within their legal powers and do what they are paid to do, which is usually not enough and with too little resource.
